TheFirstAffiliatedHospitalofGuizhouUniversityofTraditionalChineseMedicine ,Guiyang550001 , Guizhou , China ) Abstract ObjectivePolycysticovarysyndrome ( PCOS ) isaprevalentendocrineandmetabolicdisorderamongwomenofreproductiveage.Itnotonlyimpairspatients'reproductivefunctionbutalsosubstantiallyincreasesthelong-termriskofcomplicationssuchastype2diabetesmellitusandcardiovasculardiseases.ConventionalWesternmedicinehascertainlimitationsinsystematicinterventiontargetingthelong-termrisksofPCOS.BasedontheTra-ditionalChineseMedicine ( TCM ) theoryof"preventivetreatmentofdisease" , thispaperexploresitsapplicationvalueinthefull-cyclepreventionandtreatmentofPCOS.MethodsThecoreconnotationoftheTCMtheoryof"pre-ventivetreatmentofdisease"wasreviewed.Fromthreedimensions , namely"preventingdiseasebeforeitsonset ,preventingdiseaseprogressionafteronset , andpreventingrecurrenceafterrecovery" , wesystematicallyelaboratedthespecificapplicationstrategiesofthistheoryinthefull-cycleclinicalpreventionandmanagementofPCOS.ResultsInclinicalpractice , "preventingdiseaseprogressionafteronset"servesasthecoreinterventionlink.Itcaneffective-lycurbtheprogressionofPCOS , blockitstransitiontovariousmetabolicdiseases , andreducetheriskoflong-termcomplications.Integratingthetheoryof"preventivetreatmentofdisease"intoclinicaldiagnosisandtreatmentfacili-tatesthetransformationofPCOSmanagementfrompassivetreatmenttoactiveprevention.ConclusionTheTCMtheoryof"preventivetreatmentofdisease"isapplicabletothefull-cyclepreventionandtreatmentofPCOS.Itcaneffectivelyimprovepatients'prognosisandlong-termqualityoflife , andpossesseshighvalueforclinicalpracticeandpopularization.
