There are more links happening with development and strategy in the housing sector ? Re Council minibuses – new uses are being planned to encourage a communal booking system. There was discussion re transport problems in general including air transport. Duncan Clelland will look at driver examiners for the area and the need to find demand for uses. Possibly have a questionnaire regarding buses and disabled. Ian MacVicar has sent information that there would be no free use of the transport (other than fuel) by anyone other than a council employee. Correspondence & Treasurers Report None Reablement and Falls prevention – Margaret MacFarlane and Peter McCallum ? There has been investment in training for screening by Health and Social Care staff ? AVA are working with carers and groups to identify training venues and organisations that would benefit ? Those with risks of falls including strength and balance problems will be able to access 50 weeks of exercise intervention via the Day Hospital. People can be assed and will be directed to what level of exercise is needed and by whom i.e. AVA, Council 9Aqualibrium), Tai Chi et al.
