Abstract. Large-scale public building has high energy consumption and has great potential in saving it. It is necessary to do research on the calculation of energy consumption and raise some methods to save energy of large-scale public building. Basing on the theory of whole life cycle, the energy consumption of large-scale public building was analysed and the whole life cycle energy saving system was set up. What's more, it emphasized the importance of energy saving design at the stage of planning and design. Meanwhile, the paper not only analysed the whole life cycle energy saving contents and calculation formulas of large-scale public building by taking advantage of LCEA model, but also proposed some corresponding measures to save energy. Introduction China's public buildings are facing very grim energy-saving situation at present. Especially, the proportion that large-scale public buildings occupy in public buildings increase very fast over the past years, which lead to the total energy-consuming speed of public buildings rising up fast. Generally speaking, such kind of architecture that monomer building area occupies over 20000 square meters and applies central air-condition system can be called large-scale public building, such as office buildings, super department store, cultural and sports buildings and so forth. At present, the area of large-scale public buildings of whole China is approximately 500 to 600 million square meters, which occupies 5 percent of total public buildings area. In contrast, large-scale buildings consume amount of power which accounts for 17 percent of whole public buildings consumed power[1]. Thus it can be seen large-scale public buildings are high energy consuming and has a great potential in energy saving. However, most of research on energy saving of large-scale public buildings is mainly concentrated on one or a couple of stages of the whole life. Basing on the theory of whole life cycle, the energy saving of large-scale public buildings was analysed in this paper. Whole Life Cycle Energy-saving System Building whole life cycle general means the total recycle process from the raw materials and components production, planning and design, construction and transportation, operation and maintenance until demolition and disposal(abandon, recycle and reuse, etc)[2]. Energy saving analysis method according to the whole life cycle is a scientific evaluation method, it is also the development trend of energy-efficient building assessment. As shown in Figure 1, we define the life cycle energy-saving analysis system. In order to achieve the overall benefit of building energy efficiency, measures must be taken to control index of energy-saving in each stage, from planning and design to construction, and to operation and maintenance, and finally to dismantle recycling. This system spread application and realized will contribute to control and evaluate building energy saving.
