Course Prerequisites None Course Location: GTA 114 Course Times: 12:30-5:30 pm Course Credits: 4 Textbooks Required Textbooks: Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Engines, Fuel & Computerized Management Systems 3 rd Edition By: Sean Bennett Course Goals Upon the completion of this course, the student will: ? Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment. ? Identify safety concerns of diesel engines. ? Identify diesel engine components. ? Identify types of diesel engines. ? Explain the operation and function of diesel engine components. ? Identify intake and exhaust flow paths in an internal combustion engine. ? Have a working knowledge of diesel engine operating fundamentals.
