Advantages and Disadvantages of Living in a Dormitory Most college students live in dormitories. On the positive side, dorm life is cheap and convenient. We can walk to classrooms and libraries in a few minutes. We also learn to get along with roommates from different backgrounds, which improves our social skills. However, there are drawbacks.
