Scope *1.1 This specif i cation covers externally helical, integrallyf i nned aluminum and aluminum-alloy seamless tubes withf i nned or unf i nned ends, with continuous f i ns, or with unf i nnedsections, in outside diameters (diameter over f i ns) up to 2 in.[50 mm] inclusive. See Table 1 and Table 2.1.2 Alloy and temper designations are in accordance withANSI H35.1 and H35.1M. The equivalent Unif i ed NumberingSystem alloy designations are those of Table 1 preceded byA9,for example, A91060 for aluminum 1060 in accordance withPractice E 527.N OTE 1—Throughout this specif i cation the term alloy in the generalsense includes aluminum as well as aluminum alloy.1.3 For acceptance criteria for inclusion of new aluminumand aluminum alloys in this specif i cation, see Annex A2.1.4 The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. Within the text, theSI units are shown in brackets. The values stated in eachsystem are not exact equivalents; therefore, each system shallbe used independently of the other.
