    TOI INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR April 26 th , 2013, Logroño, Spain Participants: choreographers, coaches, judges, officials from the various countries involved in TOI The seminar had the following objectives: 1. Review a few of the initiatives made in each country since 2 nd Nation’s Cup 2. Review the proposals for the evolution of regulations made by each country 3. Further the common work done by choreographers, coaches and judges together to create and maintain the rules of Theatre on Ice, which has been the trademark of our sport in the last 15 years. The following decisions were made: ? The TOIICC members, namely: Mayra Abasova (Russia), Bernard Carles (France), Judy Edmunds (USA), Jan Gardner (Australia), David Muñoz (Spain) are mandated to formalize: o A common guideline gathering our Standard International TOI rules (see some below). This guideline will be standard to all international competitions gathering teams from more than one country o A common specification for all applicants to organize Nation’s Cup in the future. ? The process to select CE elements will now be the following: 1. Coaches and choreographers propose 3-element sets (theme, choreographic process, gesture) to their representative (Mayra, Bernard, Judy, Jan, David) 2. The TOIICC members have to gather in September or October previous to Nation’s Cup in order to organize it. They take advantage of that meeting to decide on the 3-element sets for the following next two seasons. For instance, in September of 2014, as they will gather to prepare the 2015 Nation’s Cup, they will decide on the elements for 2016 and 2017. 3. Right after the meeting, the TOIICC organizes a webinar or teleconference with the various clubs on the list to clarify the sets that were selected. Each TOIICC member informs coaches and choreographers of his/her country of the webinar / teleconference and invites them to participate. We have agreed upon the following rules for international events (Adults, Novice, Junior and Senior categories). These rules should be included in the international guideline. 1. All teams have to include no less than 8 and no more than 24 skaters, and 4 alternates. 2. Standard times are validated:
