NZQA registered unit standard 23436 version 3 Page 1 of 5 NZ Motor Industry Training Organisation (Incorporated) (MITO) SSB Code 101542 © New Zealand Qualifications Authority 2015 Title Demonstrate knowledge of the self-supervision requirements for overweight vehicles crossing bridges Level 4 Credits 4 Purpose This unit standard is for people who wish to self-supervise when crossing identified bridges with overweight vehicles as required by New Zealand Transport Agency’s (NZTA) Overweight Permit Self Supervision special conditions. People credited with this unit standard are able to: demonstrate knowledge of overweight permits for overweight vehicles; identify the location of the vehicle on the trip route and the location of bridges using road and bridge location markers; and demonstrate knowledge of supervision of overweight vehicles when crossing bridges.
