HEAD OF FUNDRAISING & COMMUNICATIONS – THE EIKON CHARITY Remuneration: C irca £38k-£40k FTE Location: New Haw; Surrey Time commitment: Flexible, expected minimum commitment 4 days Reporting to C hief Executive J OB DESCRIPTION PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Eikon is a dynamic Surrey based charity whose vision is to develop happy, thriving and resilient young adults who contribute positively to society.  With ambitious plans to expand our very successful and exciting Youth Specialist Programme in more schools, and to support even more vulnerable young people, the Eikon Board of Trustees is looking to appoint a Head of Fundraising and Communications. The aim of this role is to deliver an increase in fundraising income that will enable the organisation to meet growth targets in a sustainable way. The successful candidate must have the ability to work strategically and to support others  at Eikon  in  delivering measurable, cost‐effective  results  that  enable  the vision  of  the charity to become a reality.   If you have a proven fundraising track record, and can demonstrate effective delivery of fundraising strategies at a senior level, then Eikon would be interested in hearing from you.  The Head of Fundraising and Communications will implement the strategy, working with all stakeholders, to ensure that priority actions are achieved. They will also work as a team with the Board of Trustees and CEO to recruit and cultivate key relationships with new and existing donors.   PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES  1] To be responsible for the development and execution of the fund raising strategy on a short and longer term basis  2] To create new, and cultivate existing, major donor relationships  3] To lead a small and evolving department  ‐ to develop and execute external communications and marketing activity in line with corporate guidelines ‐ to set income targets and deliver results from corporate donors and trusts and foundations ‐ delivering local community activity and event management   4] To take responsibility for managing agreed income / expenditure budgets  5] To promote the Eikon Charity by: ?
