Scope*1.1 This specif i cation provides standard f i tting geometriesand laying lengths for plastic f i ttings intended for use in drain,waste, and vent applications. (See Specif i cations D2661 andD2665.)1.2 Fittings meeting the requirements of this standard speci-f i cation are designed for use with outside diameter controlledpipe. The inside diameter can vary signif i cantly as the wallthickness and outside diameter varies and therefore is notsuitable for use as a f i tting socket.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. Requirements3.1 Fittings shall conform to the geometries and layinglengths as shown in Tables 1-45 and Figs. 1-5. Tolerances shallbe 6 1 ⁄ 16 in. unless otherwise specif i ed.3.2 Spigot and hub dimensions shall conform to the require-ments of the referencing standard.3.3 The exact outside shape of a f i tting is not determined bythe outline drawings shown in this specif i cation but rather bythe socket dimensions, wall thickness requirements, waterway,laying lengths, and any other critical dimensions that may bespecif i ed.3.4 The pitch of sockets for patterns with 90° angles (exceptvent f i ttings) shall be1 ⁄ 4 in./ft or 1° 12 min.3.5 On double reducing sanitary tees, the G2 dimension onbranches will be calculated on the larger size and centerlinesshall remain the same for both branches.3.6 All other dimensions, materials and property require-ments shall be in conformance with the referencing standard.4.
